okay, time to book in again...
okay week la. thursday kena activated, quite tiring... had to draw ammo and go thru a lot of checks... and the whole week was wasted on packing and unpacking and repacking field packs. close combat's fun! hah. just demonstrated some on yaoqi today... heh.
friday went to prayer meet at mingzhu's hse. it's quite funny, the way she screams at her brother hah. saturday was wasted at home playing GE and lazing around...
thank God for bringing aaron to church today. charmaine came along too. had hymn class too... then went off to play lan for awhile before going off...
tml, rsm parade... sigh.
the thought of booking in hampers my thought processes as i blog lar. haha...

ahhhhhh 8GB ipod nano costs $436... need to save up...

quite a slack week actually. monday to thursday nights off la! wow. and we even went outfield on thursday la, still got nights out. mad. haha SSG vincent can la. friday... wasted time at khatib... was suppose to be in the street soccer team, then due to rain become captainball.. what a letdown hah. and despite being so-the-late still went ranran's house for bible study...
today, wasted the morning on GE.... then went to church at 3+, by right to help robert with his english stuff, ended up reading and finishing sunday sch hmwk... and went for tyrannus equipping...
sorry jane... haha... yeah went for dinner at gardens... xhui and robert came along... hi joseph..! haha. and i learnt how to go home from sembawang today yay.
the minute i think of the time i need to book in tml i feel very-the-sian la. go fight war lo...

siok: hey thanks sister =) to think that when we just knew each other we havent even got in touch with our Lord yet. and yet now we're firm in our faith in Him and constantly encouraging each other. amazing. thank God! =)
well quite an uneventful week, not really blog-worthy anyway. friday watched "a beautiful mind" at church office, did guard duty on saturday, knocked off then went straight to church today... improving lil by lil everyweek at table soccer now haha. that small lil table really can bring pple together man.
i'm really grateful for God's grace as He watches over me everyday, especially in camp, and for the privilage to be able to go to church and meet up with my brothers and sisters and all that. and i'm reminded constantly not to take them for granted. uncertain bookout timings on fridays, not knowing if i'll have a night out on wednesdays, and having just burnt two saturdays in a row served that purpose. and i'm glad to report that the row with the lotus flower gang's dying down. but let's hope it doesnt start up again anytime soon alright.
auntie biqing always hits the nail on the head. my head. first with bringing up baptism when i was thinking of it. and now she just encouraged me to bring friends to church, just before all of us were leaving. well just nice, i have melvin, aaron and charmaine in mind. truth to be told over another hectic weekend i didnt really go and follow up and try to contact them to ask them to come to tie down details of where we're going to meet up and all that. the fire that sparked off during the gospel camp, the burden to further His Kingdom, would slowly ebb away if i'm not going to keep an eye on it. gotta keep reminding myself then. get to work, soldier!
trying to be a good witness in camp. learning how to just be quiet and go about doing my work, helping wherever i can, but not to be boastful or very "loud" about it when i'm doing it. after all i'm supposed to be hidden in Christ. why care about tags and labels that men put on you.
this is a classic post on mindless babblings ahhh. not having enough sleep during guard prob... till next week...

sigh. was so disappointed when i reached home last night. missed out on 200 bucks! after shooting 15 out of 15 for the day section and our detail doing not bad at all, we thought we were in heavy contention for the money and the title of "marksmen" but it was not to be. night shoot was terrible, maybe because of, maybe despite of the fact that we were the demo detail for the night shoot, meaning we had an extra round of practice, or an extra round of stress to go thru... heart really ached man!
woke up this morning with an aching shoulder and a runny nose. as usual. hah. after firing more than fifty rounds my right shoulder was really keeping me awake. well my sister said she'd bring two frens along to church, but i didnt realise one of them would be IAGO of othello fame hahaha!
the hidden mystery. the gift of salvation, hidden from view of the non-believers, revealed only to us, His chosen children. to keep your sights on things above, not things below. losing 200 bucks and that title seems so small a price to pay in comparison to all the riches waiting up above.
first YAF meeting! wonderful that there was a lot of joy all around as we looked at the topic of decision-making. the principals and guidlines that the Bible shows us. and being able to talk to one another in the group and exchange ideas. and training my translation skills! hah. yeah all in all time well spent.
siao liao library books renew once ald cannot renew again. gonna chalk up fines for this week lo... book in then say bah. 3DivArty COC on tuesday, next saturday guard duty... sian.

as guys who've been thru this will know, the tricky thing about combat shoot's that it's a collective effort... the score is taken on detail level, instead of ATP where it's every man for himself...
haha and i've always found it very hard to find girls who understands army terminology. it's so rare i think it's easier to find girls who knows how to explain the offside rule nowadays. at least i think it's like that la haha.
this post is so no link. i guess it's just as well that we had the ypf farewell last week; i'm going to miss tml, and next saturday i'll be on guard duty...

hahaha oh my i love you py. thanks for not doing anything worse. that was quite a sweet post actually hah =)
okay finally just before i book in it's my blogging time again. with itunes blasting the house quiet and a can of jiajialiangteh in front of me. it's been a long week... lots of things to thank God for, lots of things to continue to grit and endure thru...
had nights out on monday! crazy right haha. went out with jiawei caishen derek to amk hub, walk arnd, eat a lil, talk cock, play arcade... nice to find a new bunch of frens to hang out with. tues, was suppose to go outfield, then because 24 got stuck so exercise was cut even before we did a single action front drill haha. wed, had high hopes of having night out, then can go for prayer meet... but because of delays here and there and BC's obsession with area cleaning couldnt go out... so i was quite disheartened but well i thought Lord, let Thy will be done lo. ended up had a great time with the GAs again buying stuff from 2sir mess then eating in their bunk... thurs, watched transformers! yea with the GAs again at amk jubilee. bumped into kiyoko at s11 after the show! =D
transformers, to me, was a great movie. the ST reviews gave it only 2 out of 5 stars because they were looking for things that the movie wasnt going to really offer. like storyline and the effects and all that. come on la, the movie showed what micheal bay's really good with: action. explosions and big guns and the fights. haha yay. mindless violence hah.
friday, the struggle with the lotus flower sect just took on a whole new level. zx claimed that i was talking bad bout him behind his back, and he didnt want to say what or who told him what i did not say. after a series of promises to escalate the situation and make things ugly, he ended off with this bombshell:
"sunday, you watch out lor. why, scared ah? go and pray to your god la, you holy fucker."
there was a very sour taste in my mouth but i calmed myself down and didnt rebuke him. i just prayed to God to forgive him, that he didnt know what he was doing, and that may He grant me all that i need to stand up to pple like this and still carry my Cross up high in camp.
and thru the weekend grant me encouragement He did. and in so many ways from so many pple haha =)
yeah friday evening. was kena arrow-ed to do umbrella party during RSM COC... but there was the chinese students bible study to go to! thank God for putting yit siong at the right place at the right time; he agreed to take over my duty from me since he had nothing on that night. so happily went down to shengwei and liu lei and hongzhuang's house. sang hymns, ate the homecooked dinner and watermelons and chocolates, and we watched the 2nd part of the documentary "the Cross in china" which we watched the 1st part while still in gospel camp... then we had a discussion on our thoughts on the show when we're done la. the pple there are really persecuted for their faith. but it was very inspiring. despite all the arrests and spells in prisons their faith actually grew stronger. looking at what i experience in camp it's really incomprable. yet as the Lord has shown grace and mercy to these faithful servants of His in china, so am i encouraged by the fact that since He can help these pple from such grave troubles, i can firmly believe that He will too help me out in camp. i cant rmb the exact chapter and verse (!!!) but in the book of hebrews my fav verse goes:
so we say in confidence: "the Lord is my helper, i will not be afraid. what can man do to me?"
match on saturday morning. quite a poor show personally, didnt play the whole match but directly at fault for two goals... the first i let the number 19 turn me when i was defending him for a throw in near our area... kena turn ald, he let fly a left footed curler from outside the penalty area that went past kashing into the top left corner... then the 2nd goal, i gave away the penalty... 2-on-2 situation, striker came with the ball, i committed, missed the ball with my right foot, so i whacked his leg with my left... quite a rash decision that i regretted immediatly, seeing that the striker went down quite easily, taking advantage of the situation.
went home shower only rush down to church... supposedly to help robert to look thru his essays, but after seeing how xhui ald marked his 1st 2 essays i thought i was still quite far away from her professional teacher's standard.... haha. ended up digging up all my gp essay skills and passing it down to him, with the help of CORPORAL weiwu haha. farewell for us old uncles and aunties from ypf... looking forward to yaf! and gatecrashing ypf activities from now on haha. thanks to everyone yet again who wrote down their blessings and encouragements it really really means a lot to me thanks =)
then went off to eat steamboat with TXH-minor... not a lot of pple came, but it was still very fun nonetheless. pple who came ah, jon changrong mr cheng huiru yurong yingyin at the steamboat then ltr coffee dajie huijuan huifang and norman joined us... huiru, dont forget our arcade racing challenge ah haha.
today ah, quite a fulfilling day in a spiritual sense. today's service my earworm's there too haha... the song playing at robert's blog right now. heh. to be a Christian isnt to walk WITH Christ or to be faithful TO Christ, but rather, to be IN Christ. it's quite amazing. to really assmilate into Him so as to become one body, dropping the "me myself and i" mentality to embrace the fact that He is in you, and trusting in Him to take care of you and for the privilage to let Him use you to do His work, and for the chance to always be able to serve and praise Him. everytime the congregation partake in the Lord's Supper "baptism" flashes thru my mind. we have a new teacher in hymn singing class! really need to work harder lo.
leaving church, went off to vivo. the rest of the bunch went off to watch transformers, and due to the lack of tickets i had to spent 2+ hours with 10... haha. walked around, played some arcade games, ate long john silvers (great shrimps!!) and ended up discussing judges chapters 19 and 20... and from there a lot of other things...
one of the points brought up was the issue of being a good witness. how you can be a testimony to the glories of God. yup. sunday sch we went thru the importance of sharing the Gospel with our frens by letting them know how and why we pray... and yeah it's really your whole life that pple will look at and see if they can see the power of Christ acting in you, on you. BLOGGING is one such activity that lets people see how much i trust in my Lord. to give thanks to Him for every positive thing that He has granted to me. and for a better testimony, my trust in Him to carry me thru troubles, the process in which i struggle and although i may fall here and there, my Lord will never let me be defeated. and the belief that He's always there for me, and that when i'm out i give thanks to Him.
on this note i shall book in now... to face the trials that are waiting for me in camp squarely. please pray for me, my brothers and sisters, it'd be greatly appreciated. till next week, cheers! =)
